Public Courses Terms & Conditions

1. MINIMUM CLASS SIZE

The minimum class size is seven (7) and if the minimum is not met, Summat reserves the right to postpone or cancel the course. All registered learners will be notified at least ten (10) working days prior to the class start date of the cancellation or postponement of the course. In the event of a course being postponed or cancel, learners may opt to deregister (and receive a full refund if applicable) or to be registered for the same course at a suitable future date with no change in the fee payable.

2. CANCELLATIONS

Notifications of cancellations must be received in writing and sent directly to bookings@summat.co.za .

Cancellations received between ten (10) and seven (7) working days prior to a class starting will attract a 50% course fee to contribute toward venue, catering and facilitator fees.

Cancellations received in less than five (5) working days prior to a course taking place, will attract the full course fee.

3. REPLACEMENTS

A replacement learner may be enrolled up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled start date for a course. There are no additional charges for doing so and all cancellation fees are waived. Please inform us in writing (sent to bookings@summat.co.za) so that the necessary arrangements for the replacement learner can be made.

4. POSTPONEMENTS AND TRANSFER OF DATES

Notifications of postponement or transfer of dates must be made in writing (sent to bookings@summat.co.za).

Postponement or transfer of dates for a course can be done without penalty if notification reaches Summat at least ten (10) working days before the course start date.

Postponement or transfer of dates received ten (10) working days prior to a class starting or later will be treated as a cancellation attracting the penalties as set out under CANCELLATIONS above.

Summat will only accept postponement or transfer of dates for learners transferring to different dates of the same course.

5. FEES, INVOICING AND PAYMENT

Fees are current at the time of print, however, Summat reserves the right to change fees at any time.

Payment can be made by electronic transfer to the bank account quoted in the registration confirmation email and in the invoice.

Please quote your surname and initials OR the reference number from your invoice and organisation name so that payments can be tracked.

Payment must be received 3 working days prior to the commencement of the course.

On written request (sent to bookings@summat.co.za), a pro-forma invoice addressed to the employer will be raised upon enrolment. A tax invoice will then be raised upon attendance or in the event of cancellation, as detailed above. Payment by employers is strictly 21 days from date of invoice. Proof of payment detailing the Summat invoice number is required upon settlement of statement. Payment may be made by EFT as indicated on the invoice.

Learners are only considered confirmed for a programme when payment has been received or when Summat receives a purchase order from their employer.

Please note that no learner will be permitted to attend any course without proof of payment or an official purchase order number from their employer.

6. SPECIAL MEALS

At registration, please indicate if a special meal is required and the nature of the meal. This can also be done by notifying Summat of the special meal requirement(s) in writing at bookings@summat.co.za. Notification of the special meal requirement must reach Summat at registration or at least five (5) working days before the course start date.

7. INDEMNITY

Please note that Summat Training Institute (Pty) Ltd will not be held responsible or liable for any claim pertaining to personal injury (physical, mental, emotional) nor damage to or loss of personal effects whatsoever at the premises of 3rd party providers.
